Andy and I didn't know much about Denver weather (err, actually really anything about Denver) when we moved here from Madison, WI. So we were pleasantly surprised to find the winter weather is one of the best kept secrets of Denver! We often enjoy warm, dry days out hiking, biking, or going for a walk. In December and January! This was unheard of coming from the Midwest. We do still, however, get a taste of home every once in a while as the weather can change drastically without much notice.
Take this week for example: We enjoyed the sunny, 60 degree weather on Friday, January 3, 2014 by walking the mile and a half round trip to the library.
Andy walking back from the library. Notice the light sweatshirt and squinting from the sun.
But then woke to snowy, 20 degree weather on Saturday, January 4, 2014 (Ella was not pleased!).
Snowy dog! Both Ella & I are wearing our snow boots, though one of us kicked one of ours off on the walk (hint: it wasn't me).
Today we're taking advantage of a rare gloomy day and watching some Netflix with WI beers :o) and later we're trying out a homemade (gluten-free!) gnocchi recipe. I hope you all are staying warm in the Midwest!

How did the food turn out? I'm always looking for new (preferably easy) recipes to try!
It was great! I added a post for you, friend :o) Not sure how healthy it is... but if you make a homemade veggie sauce to go with it, I bet it'd be just what you & Joey are looking for.
