Andy works for a company based in Milwaukee, WI and every year the owner, Bill, takes his employees out to a Christmas celebration dinner. Since Andy and I aren't able to make it back from Denver, CO for the dinner, Bill treats Andy and I to a dinner just the two of us in our city. Two weeks ago, we went to a new place called Block & Larder, opened by the same guys that own freshcraft, one of our favorite restaurants/craft beer bars. B&L is an up-scale dining/craft cocktail restaurant, so it was perfect for our fancy night out.
My dessert: Bartender's choice for a flight of dessert liqueurs.
It was pretty dark in the place, which helped set the mood, but did not help with my pictures! And looking back on the photos from the night, apparently we wanted to captured more of the delicious drinks we enjoyed than the delicious food! Oops :o) We were extremely pleased with the food, drinks, ambiance, service, and really the whole package.
