After San Diego, we drove up to Venice Beach from Thursday 7/30/15-Saturday 8/1/15, which was such a pleasant break from the hustle of the city. We stayed not far from the Abbot Kinney shopping area and were able to bike all around, including to the Santa Monica Pier. Here's some pictures from Venice Beach, and our afternoon in LA:

We left Venice Beach on Saturday 8/1/15 and drove up to Paso Robles to spend a night there, mainly to visit Firestone Walker brewery! And we visited it three times in our short stay!

The morning of Sunday 8/2/15 we hit the road (went back to the brewery for a tour!) and drove via the Pacific Coast Highway up to San Francisco. I was pretty sleepy after the delicious beers, but tried my hardest to stay awake to take in the views!
