We're on Vacation! Pt. 4: San Francisco and Sonoma

We spent most of the last week in San Francisco, arriving in the city late Sunday night and leaving late Thursday morning. It was nice, after being on the go for a bit (see: Vacation Pt. 1, Pt. 2, and Pt. 3), to settle into a place for more than a night or two and make the space feel like our own for a short while. We had a beautiful home in our rental with a space in the backyard I enjoyed regularly, an awesome location in a small local neighborhood, and the most comfortable bed.

The garden at our San Fran vacation rental had beautiful flowers <3

Check out this beautiful mosaic just blocks from our rental.

Andy and I remembering the highlights of our previous day at brunch on Monday. We did this daily.

I love me some nature in the city! Lands End hike in San Fran.

Sutro Baths.

Oh hi Andy! Can you spot him in the picture?

San Francisco from above!! At Bernal Heights.

Fun little swing at Bernal Heights.

San Fran is full of surprising beautiful art.

This beer at the Mikkeller Bar was out of this world.

Dragons Gate in Chinatown.

Tien Hau Temple.

We went to the fortune cookie factory in Ross Alley Chinatown and were able to watch the women making the cookies.

Golden Gate Bridge on Wednesday!!

This is the view from the city partway across the bridge.

We had lunch in Sausalito, just a three mile bike ride from the north end of the bridge.

Biking! I loved this view!

This hill to get to the bridge just kept going up, up, up...

...but was totally worth it for the views (and we definitely walked our bikes).

Fisherman's Wharf!

Did you know a bunch of seals have made their homes on Pier 39 in Fisherman's Wharf?

Check out this liquor line-up at Holy Water in our neighborhood in San Francisco! And it's only half of it.

Mural alley in the Mission District in San Fran.

We're all in this together

On Thursday we headed up north to Santa Rosa, strictly to visit the Russian River Brewery (for Pliny of course!), and over to Sonoma where we drank a lot of wine, and even more Pliny.

"OMG I'm at Russian River!"

"We'd like one of each, please."

Another In-N-Out visit!

WINE!

We loved the B.R. Cohn Winery.

Love it! And love even more that you're travel journalling in a binder ;)

It was so nice to reflect back on the previous day and remember. And I know we're going to appreciate our journal pages weeks, months, and years from now.
