Andy and I have spent the past two years celebrating New Year's Eve back in Madison, WI, away from our Denver home. We loved seeing old friends and celebrating in our favorite Madison bars, but have always (not so) secretly wished for a Denver NYE. With seeing family over Christmas and Andy's work requiring him to be in Milwaukee through January 1st, we thought we'd always celebrate in Wisconsin. But this year Andy's colleagues helped out in Milwaukee so we could be in Denver for the holiday! To celebrate, we invited a few friends over to ring-in 2014 at our home with drinks, snacks, and games. Here a glimpse of our 2013 end and 2014 start.
I used my surplus of time off from work to set-up some festive NYE decorations.
And drinks (not pictured is the devilishly delicious sparkling pomegranate-vodka. Yum!).
Have you ever played Cards against Humanity? It's like Apples to Apples, but...different. It's our favorite game for parties!
