Last Weekend: Breweries, Movies, Mountains

Last weekend wasn't as productive as I would have liked in that I didn't set-up my new bookcases or make the frittata I was hoping to, but it was fulfilling in other ways in that we spent a lot of time with friends and got out to enjoy our fabulous Colorado winter weather. So, overall, I can't complain!

Friday night Andy and I went out with Kevin to Copper Kettle brewery, which isn't too far from our houses. And Saturday, Shelly and I went to the matinee showing of "Hidden Figures" and out for a couple beers afterwards to chat about it. If you haven't seen the movie yet, drop what you're doing right now and go see it - you'll thank me! When I got home, Andy and I cooked dinner and agreed on a lazy movie night and disagreed on movie choice until finally agreeing on "O Brother Where Art Thou".

Andy and I headed out for a Sunday morning hike in the foothills of Boulder. It's so muddy on the trails right now as the temperature is rising and the snow is melting! So we ended up doing a hike we'd done before since the trail we wanted to try was closed due to conditions. But hey, no complaints! There's not a bad view! Since we were already up in Boulder, we decided to head to some breweries, and meet up with our friends Mark & Devon.

Not as cool of an action shot as I was hoping, but here's Andy rinsing his muddy boot in a stream.

Girl Scouts were selling cookies at the brewery. They made a lot of money.
