Winter Holiday Celebrations in 2016

Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years. All three holidays feel so significant, and all happen at once! I love the traditions and social aspect of the holidays, and so look forward to the unique celebrations each bring. Andy and I fully embrace each holiday, and enjoy spoiling ourselves with family and friends time during the winter holidays!

For Thanksgiving, Andy and I hosted a Friendsgiving at our house in Denver.

I was really proud of my table decorations.

So much food! Salads, dill bread, turkey...

candied carrots, green bean casserole, stuffing, mac & cheese, salmon, rolls...

...ham, mashed potatoes. Not pictured: beer, wine, whiskey.

My pescitarian, gluten-free Thanksgiving plate has never been so full!

Andy and I walked to Station 26 on Black Friday (#optoutside) for their beer release event.

CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS ARE UP <3 <3

The month of December is pretty much one Christmas celebration after another. Funkwerks, where I work, has two big parties in the month, and Andy and I soak up as much Denver Christmas cheer as we can before we go back to the Midwest to celebrate Christmas Eve and Day with my family.

Alex was determined to be the proud owner of the two sweatshirts with the brewery owner's face on it.

He was relentless, and successful!, in his pursuit.

We visited the Christkindl Market and beer hall before watching the downtown Parade of Lights.

The only pictures I got of the Funkwerks 6th anniversary party. My friends made a dance party!

Andy and my annual visit to the Denver Zoo Lights. We wandered into Santa's Workshop and the woman working encouraged us to talk with Santa! We passed ;)

On New Years Eve day, Andy and I visited the Colorado History Museum to take in one of the last days of their Awkward Family Photos exhibit. When we got home after our visit, my dear friends Becky, Lina, and Rachel arrived on their road trip from Wisconsin! They came to Denver for ONE DAY to celebrate 2017 with Andy and me <3

Oh yea and we went to Spangalang brewery after the museum.

Ella was spoiled rotten by our dog-loving friends!

Post-ball dropping, pre-J.Lo sing along.

A sunny New Years Day hike in Golden!

Phew. Even reflecting back on the holidays is exhausting. Delightfully, lovingly exhausting. No wonder we need almost 11 months to prepare for them again!
